You really helped me fine tune my filtration plans. I had not considered a wicking bed for the effluients from the solids separator. I have always just taken and put it in a bucket and then dumped it in the garden. I also enjoyed finally getting some concrete numbers on the amount of feed a moving bed bio filter can digest. My design was a bit large for the system I am creating. You have saved me time and money. Thank you.

I am building a radial flow filter based on your design, and have modified my plans for an aquaponics system based on what I have read on your site. Also, I am including an earthan bed, which is inspired by what you have done. Thanks much!

There is are a lot of useless information on the internet about this subject ( like any subject on the net ) everybody want’s to skin the cat in they way and trying to invent the wheel. You, Paul, know what you are talking about. In South Africa this concept it is very new and building a system wrong is the difference between success ( not to loose money ) and failing ( loos everything). You have a great experience and if you like to guide me on this project I will be very thank full.

Saw the aquaponics idea recently at Sydney Easter Show. Started researching it your web site is fantastic. Currently making a IBC system with ideas from all over the net. Now thanks to your recent article with only 50 fish, was planning 100 but I now better understand what my 1000 litre system will grow.

Quite simply you have given me a greater understanding of Aquaponics. But I am sure I still have much to learn. I have not started a system yet, but look forward to trying one soon… I watch other you tube vids and read other websites, but simply return to you because I believe you are 100% sincere with the information you give. It is most comforting to have access to someone as knowledgeable and down to earth as yourself Paul. Nothing comes close to being able to chat to someone interactively. You explain things in a way they make sense, even though the topic may be somewhat complex. You are open and willing to share your knowledge… your website is testament to this.

I think it’s simply amazing that you give away so much information based off of your experience. I consider you to be what we call in the south of the US “good people”. I think the same of anyone willing to share their knowledge with others so that they can do something or improve what they have and be better without expecting anything in return (except for a survey that is, LOL).

Explained more about aquaponics in scientific ways and in details more than any other site.  You explained in simple and honest way not hiding pieces of important information like others do liked the diy solid filter and bio filter , very easy to build.

The articles have a lot to absorb so they are re-read to make sure I get as much out of it as possible. The instructional videos are priceless. (This comes from a former TV production person and technical writer.)

I like the diversity in the various systems you have setup. It’s nice to know there is more than one way to grow a fish. The tech stuff is very welcome and having the various formulas on one web sight is extremely helpful. Thank you.

You DIY’s are excellent, and I have a growing interest in raising fish. Maybe some fish recipes to go with herbs that are growing in al that wonderful fish poop. LOL

I found the site clear and modern. My interest in aquaponics is to help some friends that I have in India set up a system to learn from, an enable them to go forward

The scientific numbers and tables you give are fantastic. Keep these coming! You also do an excellent job continuing communication when someone comments. This always impresses me, when I see a company not just presenting information, but creating dialogue and continued communication with consumers about the information after it was presented. IT shows appreciation and a real dedication to helping people learn.

I’ve just finished a smaller version of your radial flow filter. Gold. I don’t seem to have to filter much BS from your site like I do from forums. Videos speak a words. How much should I feed? Only your video made me understand.

Thought Paul was great when I meet him at the Hebden Fish Farm for the first time and have been closely following what he says since. Also purchase a few things of the internet and will continue to do so in the future. PS your fish food is half the price of what other people are charging.

Advice without expectation is very rare in this day and age. When you offered to spend an hour on the phone, it was a very pleasant surprise, and clear proof that Earthan Group was exactly what i expected. Your assistance in doubling the efficiency of the aquaculture side of our aquaponic green house has taken our production and presentation to a professional level, and for that, we are greatly appreciative.

I found a lot of useful information. Say, all free calculators, gravity pipe size and flow rate, fish feeding reactions and amonia toxicity and especially data about biofilter efficiency dependig water temperature etc.

The information that you have provided on your Earthan Group Website has guided me in the way my system has evolved. I am a retiree who enjoys home aquaponics/aquaculture as a great hobby. The system is very stable and currently supports 30 Rainbow Trout, 60 Silver perch and 10 Murray Cod.

Through this site I have learnt most of what I know and carry out on my own DIY system.  Also purchasing equipment that comes with sound advise, and at reasonable prices.

I have learnt that filters are a must in aquaponics. I was able to build my own filters at a very cheap price. The videos and demonstrations were easy to follow. Your shop allowed me to purchase aquaponic equipment that I couldn’t find anywhere. Thanks for you help.

Very generous in the information given and an alternative point of view

The radial filter design with photos that you posted some time ago has been very helpful. I have built a couple and they work great. So simple and easy to clean. Saved me hours of work cleaning foam filters, which I have now done away with in my AP systems.
